I'll be the first to admit it. I almost did a very stupid thing. I was offered floor seats to the season opener of the Cleveland Cavaliers game. My company has a loge and the floor seats came with it. Now I am not a basketball fan. Never was. I am more of a baseball kind of guy. I turned down the tickets the first time I was asked. My boss came by and told me I had to go. (It has something to do with justifying the expense and filling all of the seats) So anyway I went.

WOW. What can I say? It was amazing. I have heard all of the hype about Lebron James, you can't live in Cleveland and not, but could care little. He is an amazing player. WOW. I have heard the following phase used before but have never had cause to use it myself. HE WAS ELECTRIFYING! The ease in which he made 31 points was amazing. He was on a run of 3 pointers that had the crowd, me included, on our feet screaming like mad.

It reminds me of the commercial that he did right before he played his first game in the NBA. It was just him, in a spotlight, on a dark court and you just hear various announcers talking about the pressure and if Lebron would choke and how would he live up to the hype. He had a very serious expression on his face like he was worried. All of a sudden he breaks out in a huge smile and takes off down the court. The confidence this guy portrays on the court is tangible. Some people call it showboating, I call it self assurance. So he is a bit cocky. Wouldn't you be if you had the talents this guy has? Anyway, it was a great time. As my wife mentioned, I was indeed on T.V. (we were sitting right behind the basket) and with the floor seats comes free food and beer. It doesn't get much better than that. Oh and yes, I was sitting about a foot from the cheerleaders. I will post pictures as soon as I find out how.

All I can say is "ALL HAIL KING JAMES!". Man now I have to get a jersey.
