My wife is a great lady. I had a birthday on Sunday and she gave me some very nice gifts.
I got the complete series of "Firefly". Why the hell did I not watch that show when it was on? Kandy and I can't figure out what we were watching instead. The show was way too short lived. I feel like a chump for not watching it before. She also bought me a very nice wireless controller for my PS2 (because despite what I look like I am really just turning 12). And she got me a full body massage. The lady that did it comes into work and does chair massages about once a month. I have to tell you, I was literally wobbly after the massage. I had never had one before. I now know what is topping my list for presents from now on! Also my Parents-In-Law were very generous and provided me with some cash to purchase anything I want!! I don't know what it will be yet but it's gonna be good. Thank you everyone for the cards and phone calls. I miss you all and we will see you in January.

This just sucks, but I have to say that he is handling it with class. (or his publicist is anyway)

Country Star Cagle: Baby Isn't MineOct 4, 2:52 PM EST
The Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Chris Cagle was excited about becoming a new dad, only to learn after the baby was born that he isn't the father.
In a posting on his Web site that asks for privacy, Cagle told fans: "As many of you are aware, I had been anxiously awaiting the addition of a new baby to my life. The baby has been born and both mother and child are in good health.
"Since the birth, however, we have discovered that biologically, the child is not mine."
There were no other details.
A call to the country singer's publicist at his label, Capitol Records, wasn't immediately returned Tuesday. His manager wouldn't comment.
Cagle, 36, also said in the statement, posted Monday, "As excited as I was about becoming a new father, my disappointment now is equally as strong. So out of respect for all that are involved, please allow this situation to remain private."
His 2000 album, "Play it Loud," catapulted Cagle to country music fame, aided by the hit single "Laredo." Earlier this year, he released his third album, "Anywhere but Here."

Some Random Stuff

October is here. Last year it snowed on October 2nd. Crazy shit. We were 76 degrees yesterday. Love it. Of course it could snow at anytime.
Anyway October is here. My favorite month. Beautiful Fall mornings and evenings. The smell of burning leaves in the air. Halloween, my favorite holiday. My birthday, which means presents.

I like presents.

Our neighbors are really nice people. Kandy already blogged about how the husband mowed our grass for us. Just nice. But they do have a daughter that looks like a boy. Here is the story.

So after we came home on Friday and noticed our grass was mowed, we went over to thank our neighbor. Everyone came out including their 3 kids. (well 4 including the baby). So we hung out for a little while and talked. So one of the kids came down and we started playing with the basketball. (They have a hoop in their driveway) So everyone ended up leaving except me and this kid of about 8 or 9. We shot baskets for awhile longer and called it a night. Fun times. Kandy and I were talking later. This is the conversation: (I might paraphrase a little)

Me: So what is that kids name that I was playing basketball with?

Kandy: Emily

M: What??

K: Emily

M: He was a girl?

K: Yep.

M: But he looks like a boy. Short hair, boy clothes, Hell he said he was going to be Darth Vader for Halloween!

K: Nope, she's a girl.

M: Holy Crap!

K: I know, what a tomboy.

(LATER)

M: You know she is going to grow up to be a bull dyke. Mullet and flannel.

K: I know.

End of story!
